    Graduate Assistant Positions

    There will be four (4) two-year graduate assistant positions with athletic responsibilities starting July 1, 2022. Their primary responsibilities include performing athletic training duties for a team(s) at WVU (football, crew, tennis/cheerleading, track and cross country), An assistantship consists of a stipend that is $18,000 and health insurance. There is a tuition waiver for the academic year.

    Application procedures:  Applicants must be able to gain admittance to the graduate school at West Virginia University into either the graduate Sport Management or Sport Coaching program.  You can obtain application materials and information outlining the application procedures on the WVU Website:

    Academic Requirements:

    Regular admission to the WVU graduate school.

    BOC certification or eligibility to sit for the exam.

    A minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) is required.  

    Only complete files will be considered for admission and GA positions. Applicants are encouraged to apply and submit completed files ASAP. Selection process for candidates begins in December. Interviews may begin as early as January and continue until all positions are filled.
