    CALIFORNIA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

    CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER Internship – CBU Athletics

    California Baptist University is seeking a Certified Athletic Training Intern. This 10 month position will allow the successful applicant to further develop their knowledge, clinical skills, abilities, and patient-centered care by gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of full-time staff members. At a minimum, responsibilities include assisting in the daily operation of the athletic training facility; provide coverage for CBU’s NCAA Division I Intercollegiate sports as assigned by Director of Sports Medicine; provide daily treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; work with members of the Athletic Training/Sports Medicine staff to provide proper evaluation; treatment and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes, and referral to associated health care professionals when necessary; maintain medical records on student-athletes, assist with annual physical examinations and drug testing program; ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities; interface with coaches regarding injured student-athletes; follow all developed policies and procedures; follow the NATA Code of Ethics; remain current on all requirements for BOC Certification; and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine in coordination with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

    Position:  BOC Certified Athletic Trainer - Internship

    Position within CBU Athletics Department

    $14,000 paid over 10 month contract.

    10 Month Appointment: July 22, 2019 – May 22, 2020

    Option for 2nd 10 month contract July 20, 2020 - May 20, 2021

    Application Deadline:  June 10, 2019

    Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree, Emergency Cardiac Care certified,

    BOC Certification by July 1, 2019
