    Description: Upper Iowa University invites applications for an open Assistant Athletic Trainer (Intern) position. This is a 10-month position with a start date of August 2019 and running through the end of May.

    Responsibilities include assisting the Athletic Training Staff with all aspects of a NCAA Division II athletic training program. This includes but is not limited to; prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and administration of athletic injuries, travel with assigned teams (positions working with Men’s Basketball, Baseball, or others as assigned), clinical preceptor of undergraduate athletic training students in a CAATE accredited program, and other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. Upper Iowa University has 21 sports and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

    Qualifications: Degree in Athletic Training, BOC certification, eligible for Iowa state licensure, and CPR/AED certification.
