William Woods University in Fulton, MO has ONE immediate opening for the position for an assistant athletic trainer at this time! Located in central Missouri, Fulton is about thirty minutes away from Columbia and Jefferson City and about an hour and a half from St. Louis. We are an NAIA school, competing in the American Midwest Conference. This position is ten months (paid out over twelve) with a salary of $40,000 plus benefits. Absolutely no job duties in June or July! Starting on August 1, 2023, this position will pay $50,000 with the same benefits and requirements! Also starting August 1, 2023, we will have ANOTHER position open for an assistant, making our team grow to four instead of three!
The department also covers NATA dues and Missouri licensure fees. Very little travel required for this position, as we only travel post-season when able. Sport assignment is technically all sports, as we work within the medical model. All full-time athletic trainers on staff rotate shifts (weekly rotation between early, middle, and late shift currently) and cover whichever sport/event happens during your shift (8-hour/day shifts during the weekdays)! Weekends are as needed for home games and practices, but with 3/4 ATs on staff, we have flexibility in days off on the weekends when appropriate! You will gain experience working with all sports, as well as clinical work, as we provide in-house treatments, rehabilitation, and evaluations as appropriate. Sports currently include: soccer (M/W), volleyball, cross country (M/W), basketball (M/W), track and field (M/W, indoor and outdoor), baseball, softball, tennis (M/W), golf (M/W), cheer (co-ed), bowling (M/W), and outdoor life sports (M/W). Starting fall of 2023, we will also be adding wrestling (M/W), JV baseball, and JV softball.
