    Description:

    The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for five intern athletics trainers to assist in delivering athletic training services to various Florida Gators sports as assigned (softball, baseball, cross country/track, spirit/volleyball/gymnastics, and basketball). Other duties include providing coverage for the athletic training facility, supervising athletic training students, and traveling overnight as required by the sport.

    This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting will close at the end of business day on December 9, 2022 with an estimated start date in the summer of 2023.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of an accredited Certified Athletic Training Program by start date
    • BOC Certification and Florida Licensure eligible within 30 days of hire
    • Current ARC or AHA certification
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Highly organized individual with a positive attitude
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
    • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
    • Ability to work a non-standard work schedule which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight team travel

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment

    *Please note: Additional on the job training will be provided to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Please note this is a non-coaching position.
