    Individual serves the Athletic Department as an Athletic Trainer/Clinical instructor within the Athletic Training Education Program.

    The individual is responsible to provide comprehensive athletic training services to the sports assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Sports Performance and the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine including but not limited to Baseball.

    The individual will assist with the coordination of the overall organization and administration of the Petersen Sports Complex athletic training room; maintain accurate medical files; assist with maintaining accurate inventory and control of all supplies and equipment; assist with scheduling and follow-ups of medical appointments, diagnostic testing and professional consultations; liaison between physicians, administrators, coaches, parents and athletes in regard to injury prevention, diagnosis of injuries, care, management, treatment, and rehabilitation; maintain a positive learning environment for clinical education.

    This position requires a master’s, two to four years of college experience, preferably with baseball, and certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. Preferred Red Cross Instructor for CPR/First Aid.

     

    Experience with Baseball is preferred. A masters's degree is preferred.  Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification is required.
