    Southeastern Louisiana University is seeking 1 graduate assistant for the 2021-2022 year. Sport assignments may include volleyball/beach volleyball, softball, or track&field/cross country. 

    Responsibilities of the position may include serving as a preceptor for the athletic training, program, providing athletic training services to student athletes, assisting with the supervision of the athletic training room, as well as other administrative or teaching duties as assigned by the athletic training faculty, graduate/GA coordinator, and/or staff. The graduate assistant position includes a monthly stipend, fee assistance, and full tuition.

    The university offers a Master of Science in Health and Kinesiology, and students may pursue one of four concentrations: Exercise Science; Health Studies; Health Promotion and Exercise Science; and Kinesiology (which allows students to select areas of concentration including Adapted Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Sport and Exercise Psychology, Health Studies, and Sport Management).

    Required qualifications include the completion of a bachelors degree in athletic training from a CAATE accredited athletic training program, national BOC athletic training certification, state of Louisiana license or meeting eligibility requirements to obtain licensure , CPR/AED certification, completion of the GRE exam, and acceptance for admission to the Master of Science program in Health and Kinesiology.

    Official reporting date is tentatively August 10, 2021, but there is an opportunity to work pre-season camps for pay.
