Why is CATS Different?
CATS is targeted and flexible. Many organizations in our profession clearly reference a larger group of athletic trainers, not specializing in the collegiate or university athletic training environment. Our organization is not an ad-hoc committee or a committee created to compete with other organizations, but is an organization created for a specific purpose: to strengthen the voice for the college and university athletic trainer.
Our ability to focus on the college and university athletic training environment allows us the unique opportunity to better expand services to our members, sponsors and other stakeholders, and to adapt to the changing face of athletic training in the collegiate environment.
One of our goals is to keep our members informed on important issues within the College Athletic Trainers’ Society, the NATA and our profession in general. We urge all members to get involved with the College Athletic Trainers’ Society, as well as their state and national organizations.
